Anchor High to Rock Harbor

We picked up delivery captain Danny Meadows at the Nashville airport around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. After he spent an hour or so getting familiar with the boat, we decided to start the voyage Saturday instead of early Sunday. When we called the lockmaster at Old Hickory Lake lock, he told us we could get right through if we got there in 15 minutes! So we said goodbye to our dock neighbors at Anchor High Marina, cast off quickly, and got through lock #1 on the trip. We passed the General Jackson riverboat

and arrived at Rock Harbor Marina west of Nashville near sunset.

Good 41 mile shakedown cruise at cruising speed of 20 mph with plenty of slowdowns to avoid annoying other boaters or damaging floating docks with our significant wake.
