After two nice and peaceful days in Niceville, we and Lorraine departed for a day-cruise of the Chocktawhatchee Bay. We checked out the Harbourtown area of Destin from the boat and ended up at the Baytowne Marina in Sandestin. Many large and beautiful boats here!

Friends Paul and Dottie who are Michigan/Sandestin residents joined us on the boat for a fun time of refreshments and catching up.

We then strolled the boardwalk to the Baytown Village and celebrated my 65th birthday at Marlin Grill, an excellent seafood restaurant.

We were happy for the use of Lorraine‘s car to pick up some boating necessities at West Marine, and again enjoyed the Destin Harbor boardwalk.
We had previously visited our friend Rose at Sandestin and had enjoyed the area very much. We had the same impression this time: beautiful area, excellent restaurants and shops, all close to the Gulf and the Bay. We thought of staying longer, but it was time to Move On!
When you float somewhere near Port St. Joe Florida wave at our February/ March house!
Happy Birthday, Captain! What a great way and place to celebrate 65.
Give a hug to Lorraine – my former board president at LCS, and good friend.
Continued blessings as your cruise continues!
