Perfect Florida Day

Today, with friend Marilyn, we moved R&R from Marco Island Marina north to Legacy Harbour Marina in Fort Myers, inland on the Caloosahatchee River near downtown Fort Myers.

As we headed into the Caloosahatchee on a hot Florida afternoon, we encountered the Saturday boat parade leaving Fort Myers for the Gulf of Mexico, and slowed down to avoid “waking” them.

After an easy 60 mile day, we were happy to slide into our new slip, R&R’s COVID-time home for the next six months or so, hopefully safer during hurricane season (June – October).

We shared Italian dinner outdoors at Capone’s in the Riverfront district, our first “dining out” experience in a few months due to COVID fears and restrictions.

    1. Good question! We are practicing loopus hiatus, taking a COVID break. We look forward with anticipation to enjoying November – February in the Florida Keys and continuing our Great Loop next March, returning to Holland next Fall.

  1. R&R; you both look excellent and totally relaxed. Your boat R&R looks amazing also.
I look forward to experiencing your continuation next year. Kevin B
