On Saturday we left Hamilton Harbor in Naples, refueled (first time since March in the Florida Keys), and headed out Naples Bay and the Gordon River into the Gulf.

Our destination was Marco Island Marina, only about 15 miles away by water, past the Rookery Bay nature preserve. As usual in nearshore Gulf waters, there were many crab pot floats to avoid.

As we entered the Marco River, we waved to Marilyn on the patio of her La Peninsula condo.

We waited for a heavy rain shower to pass, and then backed into our quiet slip at Marco Island Marina with help from Dockmaster Mike.

This is our third stay at Marco Island Marina, so it feels like home. The marina is at the foot of the main Marco bridge, is well maintained, and is a short drive from Marilyn’s condo.

nice to see some photos again! Stay healthy! Alvin and Dianne
