We are thrilled to announce the marriage of our daughter Erika to her beloved Matthew Fleming. The last few weeks have been filled with planning, preparation, rehearsal, and good times with Erika, family and friends.

The wedding was on May 22 at Post Family Farm, a charming outdoor venue in rural Allendale, Michigan.

Matt’s father Dave, a Lutheran pastor, officiated. His message was wise and insightful and his blessing of the couple was touching. We have enjoyed getting to know Dave and Jo. Good people!

Erika has often said that “music feeds my soul.” The wedding gift of her two accomplished musican friends Jinty and Briagha was beautiful violin/piano prelude, hymn accompaniment, and postlude music.

Erika and I arrived at the marriage ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage. Matt and Erika’s first moments as husband wife were spent in a tour of the grounds on the same carriage. It was outstanding!

The Sendoff

The entire wedding celebration – the music, the message, the moments with family and good friends, the dancing, were meaningful and full of joy! Congratulations and God’s richest blessings, Erika and Matt!

In two days we plan to fly to Norfolk to rejoin R&R and continue our Great Loop adventure.
