Our dock neighbors in Portsmouth Virginia had told us that Herrington Harbour North was their favorite marina anywhere, so we were interested to see for ourselves. Though rainy weather prevented us from enjoying many of the amenities, we were impressed!
HHN is well designed and beautifully maintained, with new finishes and resort-style amenities. The large marina lies on Tracey’s Creek near Deale, Maryland, less than an hour’s drive by car from Washington DC.
The fixed docks are new and well designed. Granite-lined paver walkways meander along the creek, leading to inviting gathering areas to meet new friends or enjoy a meal.
The flowers and landscaping are attractive and beautifully maintained, and the resort-type pool area is beautiful.
Herrington Harbour‘s customer lounge/restroom/fitness center is inviting, well designed and very clean.
If we return to the Chesapeake by boat, Herrington Harbour North will be at the top of our list!
