Before we left on our Great Loop voyage, I created a spreadsheet with a rough and tentative schedule of possible stops along the way, and I review and update that tentative itinerary every few days.
When we had firmed up our schedule to be in Saint Clair Shores for two days, we contacted our niece Annie, who works in metro Detroit and lives in a nearby suburb.
We were happy that Annie could drive to our marina to share an evening. When Annie arrived, I was finishing up a project with a contractor, so she and Rhonda drove to the grocery store to provision R&R for the next week or so of travel. Thanks for that help, Annie!
With grocery shopping finished, Annie drove us to a nearby restaurant where we spent some good time talking about her work, her beautiful new home, and our travels.
It was good to spend some time with Annie! We look forward to seeing her and other family after we land in Holland later this summer.
